Top Five Reasons You Should Roll in a Limo this Summer

1. Weddings, Wine Tours, Birthdays-Oh My!

‘Tis the season for activities. Whether you’re attending a friend’s bash or your own wedding, nothing is as cool as rollin’ to your destination in style. Let us help you with those arrangements: book your special occasion limo with us today.

2. It’s summertime, and it’s hot.

There is a major heat wave happening in the majority of states right now, and not everyone has AC in their place or in their vehicle. But guess what…our fleet does! What’s the coolest way to keep cool? By travelling in a hot looking vehicle with AC, of course! We got you covered.

3. More time with your peeps!

How many people are in your group? A fair amount? If this is true, then it’s safe to say that you won’t all be travelling in the same vehicle…unless of course you book a limo or party bus with us. You get more quality time with your friends/fam, AND you can socialize all you like because you are paying for a professional to watch the road and get you to your destination safely.

4. Avoid the DUI.

Drinking and driving = no bueno. It’s a bad decision for a plethora of reasons-I’ll spare you the lecture, but you know the drill: don’t do it. As a matter of fact, eliminate any temptation to do it, but making sure your transportation, as well as transportation for your loved ones is already taken care of. You’re smart, and you’re responsible, and now you can party the night away with your friends, and not worry about how you are getting home safely.

5. Help the environment.

You see it in the news on a daily basis: how big is your carbon footprint? Do your part to help the environment, by shrinking your pollution contribution a bit. Commute with your friends in one large vehicle, and reduce how many cars are on the road. Bonus: many of the limo companies on limo.com offer hybrid stretch limos, hummers, etc. Ask your operator about options when you book.

GPS: Friend or Foe?

GPS. In the limo industry, it’s been an invaluable tool to assist our drivers on getting from Point A to Point B.

In the last several years, it’s gone main stream. Everyone from Grandma to the neighbor down the street has one. For some, GPS has been nothing short of a godsend: no need to ask for directions, just give them an address and they’ll be there! GPS is built for convenience, yet some have become so dependent upon it, that they get lost in their own neighborhoods without it! Tell me you’ve never gotten a phone call like this from one such of your friends or family members:

Ring Ring.

You: “Hello?”

(frantic voice on the other end): “I don’t know where I am!”

You: “What? Who IS this?!”

“It’s (insert family or friend’s name here)! I need help I don’t know where I am!”

You: “What are you talking about? Where are you? Are you in your car?”

“Yes.”

You: “Well then what do you mean you don’t know where you are?”

Pause. Then in a panicky voice (for which you are sure they are about to tell you they’ve been kidnapped and hogtied to their own hood) they say, “MY GPS IS BROKEN!”

Here is another variation of this conversation that has risen in popularity over the last couple of years: the person you know calls because their GPS has led them astray. It mistakes the address they put in, or it’s a new address, etc-take your pick…the person then calls you to let you know that they are lost because their GPS took them somewhere other than the correct destination (nine times out of ten the operator will never admit fault. In reality maybe, just maybe the GPS took them exactly where they told it, but maybe they put in the address incorrectly? Nonsense! No, it’s absolutely the fault of the GPS!)

And then there’s the positive stories: you need to get somewhere fast, so you tell your GPS where you want to go and the type of route you need to take (i.e. least amount of traffic, fastest route, etc). Then, BOOM! You have a step by step guide to take you directly to your destination. If you change course, so does your guide. Bonus: your guide does not have any type of emotional reaction with regards to the way you drive.

So, what do you think? Has GPS had a positive, negative, or neutral impact on your life? What has been your best or worst experience? Be sure and take our GPS poll, and tell us your best/worst GPS experience in the comments section!
